What you can do

Ask in your agent. Get GovConDash's answer, with sources.

Five things readers ask most. Each lists the tools the agent calls; every result links back to the public decision page, the official document or the dashboard.

Research a cost principle end to end

“Is a retention bonus allowable under FAR 31.205-6? Check the CAS, any DoW class deviation in the FAR Overhaul, and what DCAA's guidance tells auditors to look for.”

Tools used

The regulation text is the authority; a stored analysis is AI-generated and says so.

Find how a question has been decided

“How have the boards, the Court of Federal Claims, the Federal Circuit and GAO treated a constructive change claim on a firm fixed price contract, and has the False Claims Act record touched it?”

Tools used

Read the opinion text before relying on a holding; a summary is a starting point, not a citation.

Read a clause and what flows down

“Read DFARS 252.204-7012 and tell me which subcontracts it must flow down to, and whether any deviation changes it.”

Tools used

Flow-down obligations come from the grounded matrix; a clause the matrix does not hold is answered as not held.

Prepare for an audit program

“We have a DCAA incurred cost audit coming. Walk me through the audit program's steps, the adequacy checklist, and the Contract Audit Manual paragraphs behind them.”

Tools used

This is preparation, not advice; your auditor's request letter governs the engagement.

List what is matched to your profile

“Which SAM.gov notices and DoW SBIR/STTR topics match my company this week, and which close soonest?”

Tools used

Matches read the company of interest on your account; set it on the dashboard first.

Permissions and data

Read-only, under your own account

Read-only

Every tool reads. No tool can change your account, your company profile or anything you have saved.

Included with Pro and Max

A Free account can read these guides and is offered the upgrade; it is never issued a sign-in or an agent key.

Runs as your account

Every call runs under the account that signed in, and the plan is checked on every call, so a lapsed plan stops the tools at once.

Rate-limited and counted

Up to 60 tool calls a minute, and a daily allowance of 500 calls on Pro and 1,250 on Max.

No bulk export

Results are paged and capped per call. The server answers questions; it is not a download of the corpora.

Your agent's policies apply

What a tool returns becomes available to the agent you connected, and that agent's own data policies govern it from there.

Keys shown once, revocable

An agent key is shown once when you create it. You can hold up to 5 at a time and revoke any of them.

Disconnect any time

The Connected agents tab of your Account page lists every signed-in agent and every key, and disconnects any of them in one click.

FAQ

MCP server questions

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI agent call tools on a server. GovConDash runs a hosted, read-only MCP server, so the agent you already use can search and read GovConDash's data and cite the source of every answer.

Which agents can connect?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. The Connect page has a step by step guide for ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini CLI, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, Cursor, VS Code and GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Devin Desktop and Devin, Zapier, n8n and Make, and a general guide for any other client.

Which plans include it?

Pro and Max. The MCP server is one Pro and Max feature: every tool is available on both plans, with a larger daily allowance on Max.

Is it read-only?

Yes. Every tool reads, and the OAuth scope is read. Nothing an agent does through the server can change your account or your saved work.

Does it use my AI runs?

No. The server invokes no model: the agent you connect brings its own. Tool calls are counted against a separate daily allowance (500 on Pro, 1,250 on Max), never against the plan's AI runs.

Where do the figures come from?

From the same database the dashboard reads: 10,106 eCFR sections, 5,949 GAO protest decisions, 4,650 ASBCA decisions and the rest of the corpora on this page, each counted by the platform itself. Every tool result carries its sources, with a link back to the public page or the official document.

How do I revoke access?

Open the Connected agents tab of your Account page and choose Disconnect for a signed-in agent or Revoke for an agent key. It stops working on its next call.
